Amery Area EMS provides Advanced Life Support to rural communities located in western Wisconsin. We are located in Amery WI, in Polk County, just northeast of the Twin Cities. We are a community-based ambulance service that proudly serves approximately 10,500 residents and cover about 210 square miles. Our coverage area includes: the City of Amery, Village of Clayton, and the Towns of Alden, Apple River, Beaver, Black Brook, Clayton, Garfield, and Lincoln, with about 1,100 emergency calls annually.
Amery Area EMS is part of the public safety system working with area Emergency Medical Responder Groups, fire departments, local police departments, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Department. Polk County Emergency Communication Center coordinates dispatch services for 911 emergencies. We are able to provide a comprehensive and complete delivery of Emergency Medical Services to the residents and visitors of our communities.
Our ambulances are staffed and equipped to provide Advance Life Support (ALS) care. Our Paramedics and EMTs are trained in advanced procedures and medications to provide emergency treatment for both traumatic injury and sudden illness. The advanced skills, equipment, and constant communications with our medical control reduces the time it takes to receive lifesaving treatment - paving the way for quicker recovery time for our patients.
In addition to providing Emergency 911 services, we provide interfacility transport services for Amery Hospital and Clinic. We invest in quality equipment and a high level of training to better serve you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
While we hope you never need our assistance, be assured that if you become ill or injured you will receive high quality emergency services.
